Editorial policy
Purpose
Ponder publishes independent, educational writing about sports physiology and adult training. We distinguish reporting, interpretation, and opinion, and we avoid language that creates false urgency. The policy applies to articles, explainers, interviews, resource pages, newsletters, and updates published under the Ponder name. Editorial material is intended to help readers understand concepts and questions, not to replace individual assessment or professional advice. Authors are asked to explain the basis of material, identify meaningful uncertainty, and avoid presenting a single approach as suitable for every reader. Where an article discusses training, nutrition, recovery, or mobility, the surrounding context should include reasonable limits and relevant safety considerations. Readers can request clarification by writing to the editorial desk at Jalan Cendrawasih No. 15, Kebayoran Baru 12120, Jakarta Selatan, Jakarta, Indonesia or calling +62 812 7345 9018.
Corrections
Material errors are corrected with a dated note. Readers may contact the desk with evidence or a clear description of the issue. A correction may address a factual error, a misleading omission, a broken attribution, an outdated link, or a calculation that changes the meaning of an article. Minor spelling or formatting changes may be made without a separate note when they do not alter meaning. The desk reviews a clear report within 10 business days where practicable and records the outcome in the internal editorial log. If a correction is accepted, the published page will normally show the review date and a concise explanation rather than silently changing a material claim. Disagreements about interpretation may be answered with additional context instead of being labelled an error. A reader does not need to disclose sensitive personal information to report a correction.
Commercial separation
Advertising does not determine editorial conclusions. Any material relationship is considered for disclosure before publication. Sponsored material, where accepted, is labelled in a way that a reader can notice before reading it, and its commercial origin is not presented as independent reporting. Editorial staff retain responsibility for wording, factual qualification, and the distinction between an advertisement and an article. Advertisers are not given access to private reader correspondence, except where a reader separately asks to be contacted and the sharing is lawful and appropriate. Ponder may decline material that contains unsupported outcomes, manipulative urgency, restricted products, or claims that could reasonably mislead readers. Commercial arrangements are reviewed periodically, and a disclosure may remain on an archived page when the relationship was relevant to its original publication.
Reader safety
Articles include appropriate limits and encourage professional support where an individual health decision is involved. This means that general discussion of exercise or nutrition should not be read as a personal diagnosis, treatment instruction, or emergency response. The site does not ask readers to send medical records, medication lists, or other sensitive health details through a general editorial channel. A reader who experiences an urgent or concerning symptom should use local emergency services or qualified care rather than waiting for a response from Ponder. Age, training history, climate, sleep, medication, and existing conditions can change how an activity is experienced, including in apparently simple examples. Safety language is reviewed when an article is substantially updated, and readers may report wording that appears unclear or unsuitable for the intended audience.
Review record
This policy was reviewed on 1 October 2026 for the 2026 publishing year. The next routine review is expected within 12 months, or sooner if the site's editorial processes, applicable Indonesian requirements, or contact arrangements materially change. Earlier versions are retained in the editorial record for at least 24 months so that the reason for a change can be understood. Questions about this document receive an acknowledgement where practicable within 5 business days and a substantive response within 30 days.
For practical clarity, each article should identify whether it is describing established terminology, summarising a source, or offering an editorial interpretation. Where a source is revised or withdrawn, the page may be updated with a dated note so readers can understand what changed and why. Ponder keeps working notes, source links, and correction correspondence for up to 24 months after publication review, unless a longer period is needed for a legal or security matter. Personal information received with a submission is used only for the stated editorial purpose and is not added to a public author profile without permission. Editorial concerns are acknowledged within 5 business days and normally assessed within 10 business days.
